The city of Agra is dominated both by Hindu as well as Muslim community. As such there are a number of mosques and temples in the city. Some of the mosques and temples are real attractions due to their historical importance. The Mughal kings have left their landmarks behind and some as historical worshipping places.
Moti Masjid, is renowned in the city because of its beautiful architectural design. Likewise there is Jama Masjid which has been providing service since long. Akbari Masjid is one more important worshipping place for Muslims. Besides mosques there are many temples located in the premises of Agra city. The important temples of Agra are Bhageshwarnath Temple, Mangaleshwar Temple, Shri Krishna Pranami Temple, Arya Samaj Temple. The memorial of Swami Maharaj in Dayal Bagh is a famous one. Every year the place is visited by thousands of devotes. In addition to these the city is well provided with churches. There is St. John's Church, St. Mary's Church and St. Peter's Church which regularly deliver their services.
AGRA FORT
After going through the gate you walk over a ramp and enter the Great Courtyard. On the right hand sight, there's the many pillared Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience). Hall of Public Audience It was built by Shah Janan in 1628.
Further you find the Royal Pavilions. It contains beautiful mosques (Nagina Masjid & Mina Masjid), palaces (Macchi Bhavan, Khas Mahal, Shish Mahal, Shah Jahani Mahal) and the Zenana Mina Bazaar.
BAGESHWARNATH TEMPLE
Bageshwarnath Temple is located in one of the posh areas of Agra, the Civil Lines. The temple is situated off the Ramratan Road in the northern region of Agra. The temple is about two kilometres from the city centre and well connected by the roads. St. Johns College and Sales Tax Office are important offices in the vicinity. Information about Bageshwarnath Temple is limited but the temple is quite a popular in the vicinity of Raja Ki Mandi.
GURU KA TAAL
Guru Ka Taal is the most revered place of the Sikh's located in Agra. The place is said to be visited by four of the ten gurus of the Sikhs. The gurudwara has been built over the stop where Guru Tegh Bahadur offered his arrest to the Mughal king Aurangzeb. The splendid gurudwara which stands in the precincts of Sikandra is due to the noble contributions and efforts of Sant Sadhu Singh Mauni during 1970's. The place is an important pilgrim place for Sikhs and every year thousands of devotees flock into the Agra city. For these people the land out there is blessed.
